Presenter’s Profile: Mjere (Rap & Hip-Hop Engagement with Mjere)
Mjere, also known as Jerry Mosia is a native South African, born and bred in Mamafubedu. His love for Hip-Hop developed in the early 90s’ when the East Coast – West Coast s**t was taking-off, and he took the West Coast side. He was a big fan of the then Death Row Records, which signed artists such as Tupac and Snoop Doggy Dogg.
He was instrumental in the establishment of Basketball in his hometown and he became famous for his 3-points shots as he was not tall enough to slam dunk! He took a break from Hip-Hop in the mid 2000’s to focus on his professional career and studies.
A chemical engineer by profession and occasional Hip-Hop DJ, Mjere reignited his love for Rap and Hip-Hop when he was called-in by MPM Online Radio Station founder, his brother, DJ Paulisto to host a Hip-Hop show. He started hosting a show, which he named “Rap and Hip-Hop Engagement with Mjere” on January 31, 2020, debuting his part-time career as a radio DJ on MPM Online Radio Station. Catch him live every Friday from 8 to 9 pm Central African Time (CAT).
